Session Descriptions
Deep Cuts (3.5hr Session)
This intimate demonstration will introduce you the straight razor and fundamental techniques of using the tool to create different effects. This course focuses on basics + safety from how to properly hold the tool, safely working with the razor while cutting, and body ergonomics + dexterity to parts of the razor and why and when to use them. I will also showcase how to approach a haircut (Shag, Bob, Pixie, Mullet) including custom tailoring for the individual and in depth discussion on facial mapping.
This course will enhance your ability to create a bespoke experience for your guests by learning how to customize looks by considering the head shape, density, growth patterns, texture of the hair and to the models facial features to create balance and whats most suitable for the individual. We will also discuss the benefits and usage of eco friendly + clean haircare.
I will be hand styling and finishing the haircut using eco friendly + clean hair care. Wrapping up the session with photographing and capturing our models new look.
This course is suggested for beginners to the straight razor and is a foundation for the rest of my classes.

Shadow Sessions (2.5hr Session)
This demonstration will allow you to experience an inside look at my approach to a Haircut. This education session is ideal for someone who has razor cutting experience OR has taken my Fundamentals course.
We will focus on how to approach a haircut ( Shag, Bob, Pixie, Mullet) including tailoring for the individual, facial mapping, and creating your vision .
This course will enhance your ability to create a bespoke experience for your guests by learning how to customize looks by considering the head shape, density, growth patterns, texture of the hair and to the models facial features to create balance and what's most suitable for the individual. Whether you have been Razor cutting shags, bob, pixies + mullets or you are looking to learn how to approach these Haircuts, I believe you will walk away with a new perspective and some techniques you can apply with your own vision.
This course is an opportunity for you as a razor cutter to shadow me while I show a practical approach a straight razor Haircut on a live model.
We will have open discussions as I move through the haircut so any questions you may have are encouraged to be shared amongst our group. I will be hand styling and finishing the haircut using eco friendly + clean hair care. Wrapping up the session with photographing and capturing our models new look.
(This session moves a bit quicker than Fundamentals and will have more focus on cutting the shape with tips + tricks + my perspective than introduction to the razor etc. If you are a beginner razor cutter I encourage you to take DEEP CUTS Fundamentals course first.)

Small Group & One on One -HANDS ON!-
Hands-on sessions are curated along with a specific needs for you/your team and include razor fundamentals and a haircut including detailing (one length, long layers, shag, bob, pixie, mullet, etc). I will showcase a demonstration with in-depth discussions on facial mapping, creating your plan, vision, and approach. These sessions are great if you are feeling stuck or having troubles with your straight razor or you’d like to take your very first step in to working with the tool. You must provide all of your own tools including your razor.
Small Group Hands-On Sessions (7.5hr)
Host me at your salon for you and/or your team! I offer small group Hands-On Sessions that are customizable from the very first time you enter your journey with the straight razor or to as advanced as I am able to educate. Mannequins are provided or live models will be suggested to be sourced by each stylist.

*One on Ones* (8.5hr Session)
A curated and customized session just for you and your needs! You will be provided with a mannequin or live model depending on your experience and your needs. You can choose to utilize all of my offerings including Business Coaching, Razor Cutting, Hand Styling, Mentoring and more. Please Reach out and we can tailor our session to you and your needs! This course takes place in Lexington, KY or an additional travel fee is required. I am happy to travel to you!
Either a mannequin or a live model will be provided depending on your experience and what you're looking to learn. Includes 45 min virtual followup within 8 weeks of session.
